Deleting duplicate assets or assets that won’t be needed in your visualization or render is an effective way to reduce file complexity and file size. Using Meshmatic, you can delete single assets from your file, or groups of duplicate assets.

Deleting duplicate assets or assets that won’t be needed in your visualization or render is an effective way to reduce file complexity and file size. Using Meshmatic, you can delete single assets from your file, or groups of duplicate assets.

To delete duplicate assets

  1. Use the duplicate detector to find repeated assets in your scene
  2. To delete a single asset from a duplicate group, use the Delete tool
  3. To delete an entire group of duplicate assets from your scene, use the Delete Group tool

To delete assets from the outliner

  1. Find the asset you want to delete from the outliner
  2. Right-click on the asset and select Delete Node

  1. Select various assets and right-click on one asset and select Delete Selections to delete the selected group
